About Margin and Leverage at Pairmetric
Higher leverage increases both potential profit and potential loss, so it should be used with a clear risk management plan. Pairmetric Trading Ltd is authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Commission (FSC) of Mauritius as a Full Service Dealer (Licence Number GB26206074), and the leverage tiers on this page are designed to scale down automatically as your account equity grows, reducing risk exposure on larger balances.
Margin & Leverage FAQs
Leverage lets you control a larger trade size than the funds in your account alone would allow, by borrowing the remaining exposure from your broker against a margin deposit. Pairmetric offers leverage of up to 1:1000, depending on your account equity.
Margin is the portion of your account balance set aside as a good-faith deposit to open and maintain a leveraged position. It is not a fee - it is returned to your available balance when the position is closed.
Pairmetric applies a 100% margin call level. When your account equity falls to 100% of the required margin, you will be notified that your open positions are at risk and should consider adding funds or reducing exposure.
If your account equity continues to fall to 30% of the required margin, Pairmetric's stop-out process will begin automatically closing open positions, starting with the largest loss, to protect your account from a negative balance.
No - leverage of up to 1:1000 is available on every Pairmetric account type. The maximum leverage available to you depends on your account equity rather than which account type you have chosen.
